NJ SEED POLICY ACTION: Get Involved TODAY
Get your issues heard by New Jersey’s premier labor and business coalition! This December, NJ SEED will release its 2010-2011 State Issues Briefing Book. This book is best described as a “road map to economic development” for New Jersey. If you haven’t already, all members and trustees are invited to join one or more of our Policy Committees. Committee members are an integral part of our policy developing efforts and do much to craft the structure of the issues included in the briefing book. The committees meet a minimum of two times a year and, in some cases, via conference calls. It is a great way to help NJ SEED remain a leader in policy development for the State of New Jersey, but more importantly, to blend your organization’s agenda amongst the most influential business and labor group in NJ.
Please let us know which of the following committees you would like to be a part of. You are welcome to participate in as many as you’d like! New submissions and updates for the 2010-2011 State Issues Briefing Book are due! Materials should be submitted as a Word document and emailed to info@njseed.org. Submissions must be in narrative form and should include background on the issue, why it is important to business and labor interests, current status, and the action you want NJ SEED to take (eg., “NJ SEED urges the New Jersey Legislature to support S-1234″). Past briefing books can be found at www.njseed.org. Submission does not guarantee inclusion in the Briefing Book. All submissions and updates will be reviewed by the appropriate NJ SEED Issues Policy Committees, and the Executive Committee will have final approval. Submissions are due by November 10th
Please visit the Policy Committee section under the “Member News“ tab on our website for complete meeting details, or how to sign up to be a part of a specific committee!
