Many Residents to be Notified Their Water is Delivered Through Lead Service Lines

More than 180,000 New Jersey residents will get a letter from their water providers in the coming days telling them their water is delivered through a lead service line. It’s part of a law Gov. Phil Murphy signed last summer, which also requires every lead service line in New Jersey get replaced within a decade. The notices will include information on what residents can do to minimize their risk in the meantime and how to get their water tested.
