The run of bad news for New Jersey’s labor market continues,” Charles Steindel, former New Jersey chief economist, said in his analysis of the August jobs report for thinktank Garden State Initiative.
The state shed 4,440 jobs last month, according to a Sept. 19 release from the state labor department. Meanwhile, July numbers were revised downward, now showing a loss of 11,500 from the originally estimated loss of 10,300 jobs.
